This next post was inspired while sitting in our Introduction to economics class yesterday.
Talking about frustration i was just reminded about it how funny and embarrassing it feels to sit through classes when few students keep answering so much so as to tell " we don't belong here ... we know all that is being taught " . As u just sit there staring at the professor then the board then back at the professor feeling helpless as to what to follow, whether what is going on in class or sit and think of how other students who are being able to answer are so much more smarter than you, and how badly informed about the world are you.
So what am i effectively trying to say here, is that this situation takes place in everyone's life and might have taken place in yours too, and at that point in time you might be feeling miserable, actually utterly lowly in life. So to get rid of this "ultra comparison mode" I have a flypside, which dawned upon me sitting in that very same class. It stems from a very simple and straightforward belief that " different persons have different capabilities and likings", so getting hyper about not being able to answer in a particular class and to start thinking that " the whole world is smarter than me and i am not" , is completely futile. The only thing we need to keep telling ourselves is that i am better off at probably another sphere in life. doesn't this sound like so simple, and you would be saying that "hey i already know this" but stop, wait, think back a bit and im sure you will remember of a situation in class just a few days back where this must have happened to you, and you got all tensed up about life and its future and blah and blah... but you still dint sit and think that " hey so what if i cant master this one , I'm much better off in another one" . The reason why this needs to be told is that many times in life we know basic solutions to complex problems(which are created by we ourselves), but simply forget them because they are so general in nature.
As I write this blog i too probably realise that i might not be one of the best people to write a blog on politics , cricket, food, current affairs etc...so that doesn't mean that i know nothing. The fact that i can notice small things in life and analyse and comment on it may be a creative bent by itself.
Thus be positive about life, after all tomorrow is a "New Day"....
